Estimation of the Antibiotic Activity against Pseudomonas sppIsolated from Ear Infection

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background: An ear infection, can be classified into otitis externs and media, this affects all age groups especially infants young. This infection associate with pathogenic microorganism type, frequent antibiotic uses, health care age. The most common bacteria of the are Pseudomonas spp. Antibiotic resistance represents a serious threat to humans. Methods: 48 swabs were collected through use wooden sticks in sterile container for identification Pseudomonas, Serratiaand Klebsiella species by VITEK 2 system biochemical tests. susceptibility against these bacterial was detected method standard disk diffusion on Moller Hinton agar. Results: Among swabs, positive growth percentage gram-negative 29.166%, 57.142%. Males found more susceptible than females an Conclusion: patterns show azithromycin, gentamycin, piperacillin, ceftriaxone, cefepime, imipenem, ceftriazon, gentamycin have activity

Antimicrobial activity of PLUNC protects against Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection.

Epithelial antimicrobial activity may protect the lung against inhaled pathogens. The bactericidal/permeability-increasing protein family has demonstrated antimicrobial activity in vitro. PLUNC (palate, lung, and nasal epithelium associated) is a 25-kDa secreted protein that shares homology with bactericidal/permeability-increasing proteins and is expressed in nasopharyngeal and respiratory epi...

Pattern of Infection and Antibiotic Activity among Streptococcus agalactiae Isolates from Adults in Mashhad, Iran

Background: One of the main causes of sexually transmitted diseases is group B β- hemolytic streptococci (GBS) multiplying in the genital tracts. Penicillin is the most common drug for the treatment of infections caused by these bacteria, but in patients suffering from Penicillin allergy, Erythromycin and Clindamycin are used as alternative therapeutic drugs against GBS. Recently, resistan...

Antibiotic Susceptibility of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa Isolated from Cystic Fibrosis Patients

Abstract Background and Objective: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an autosomal recessive genetic disease and Pseudomonas aeruginosa is one of the most common bacteria colonized in CF patients. Growing resistance of this bacterium to antibiotics now a day is a challenge of controlling infection in CF patient. In this study colonization of CF patients with Pseudomonas aeruginosa and antibiotic suscep...

comparison of catalytic activity of heteropoly compounds in the synthesis of bis(indolyl)alkanes.

heteropoly acids (hpa) and their salts have advantages as catalysts which make them both economically and environmentally attractive, strong br?nsted acidity, exhibiting fast reversible multi-electron redox transformations under rather mild conditions, very high solubility in polar solvents, fairly high thermal stability in the solid states, and efficient oxidizing ability, so that they are imp...
